Registered Manager

You will need to have significant experience of being successful and qualified Registered Manager within fostering and ideally with another Independent Fostering Agency.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Registered Manager:

  • Management of the service
  • Ensure sound and safe decisions in all aspects of the service
  • Ability to satisfy Ofsted as a Registered Manager (Fostering Regulations 2011)
  • Management and development of a staff team
  • Recruitment of Foster Carers
  • Assessment of Foster Carers
  • Retention, supervision and support of Foster Carers.
  • Training
  • Ensure compliance
  • Quality Assurance
  • Business Development
  • Budget Management

Requirements of the Registered Manager

  • Enhanced satisfactory DBS
  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Level 4 in Management or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or be willing to undertake an appropriate management qualification within 6 months of taking up the post
  • At least one years’ experience of supervising and managing a professional staff team, preferably within Fostering
  • At least 2 years’ experience relevant to fostering within the last 5 years
  • Experience of working for an Independent Fostering Agency
  • Experience of working within a childcare local authority social work team
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of Ofsted requirement and the current legislation and frameworks relevant to Children’s Social Care and fostering
  • Excellent organisational, time management and IT skills
  • To have a full current driving licence and use of a car.

Remuneration £40,000 – £45,000 dependant on experience.

Annual leave 25 days plus public holidays

Independent Form F Assessors

We are seeking experienced Independent Assessors to undertake fostering assessments using the CoramBAAF Form F paperwork for prospective Foster Carers in all areas of the North West.

A relevant social work qualification and registration with the HCPC is essential.

Payment: £1,800 per completed assessment, plus mileage as per the current HMRC rates.
